I thought about you and talked about you this weekend with my book-club ladies. They all send their love and prayers to you.

It has been 11 years since this wonderful group of reading women (the SWB's) came into my life and quite frankly I don't know how I would have survived life in Vancouver without them.

We too laughed like school girls (we range in age from 31 - 65), as we eat mouth watering shepherd's pie and delicious homemade apple crumble (with apples picked from Ena's garden). We discussed a book called Soucouyant by David Chariandy a black Canadian author. He so beautifully and insightfully chronicled the decline of the main characters mother into senility. It was so well written that even the younger women thought they were losing their minds.

The History Boys was wonderful (the play I saw on Saturday), the lead hottie was gorgeous looking made my heart miss a beat. We were center stage, so he was hard to miss.

We are one day away from D day, and Obama’s grandmother has died. What is the lesson here...I just don’t know. But I am sad for him and I will be glued, with champagne glass ready for this historic Tuesday night.

That Love is all there is, Is all we know of Love (Emily Dickinson)

Much love to you and Ev,
Your lovely Aunt Jen xoxoxoxoJenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10651412050131620614noreply@blogger.com
